Steve Crossan

Steve is a Venture Partner at firstminute capital focusing on AI and Deep Tech.

Steve is the founder of Dayhoff Labs, building AI twins of biochemistry and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Danaher Corporation. He was previously VP of AI at GSK and prior to that was at DeepMind where he founded the AlphaFold project. He has also been an advisor to a number of deeptech companies including Riverlane, Totus Medicines, Synteny, Automata and Cradle. 

Leaving an unfinished Ph.D. in AI at Sussex, he co-founded startups like Runtime Collective, later becoming brandwatch.com. Steve holds an M.A. in History from Oxford and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from UCL.
